In a major boost to India defence sector India has taken over Russia and Poland 40 million dollars defence deal to supply for indigenous Swati radar systems to Armenia. The DRDO developed 50 km range mobile artillery relocating phased array radar system can detect and track all calibers of incoming artillery projectiles and then locate their launching position. India has successfully tested indigenous radar system on the high electronic clutter and high artillery density environment along the line of control. HAL to produce DESI Apache Helicopter by 2023: Prelim-Design Completed
The Chairman and Managing Director of Hindustan Aeronautics has said that discussions have started with the Indian Air Force and the Indian Navy to produce the 12-ton class combat helicopter, which will be comparable with the Apache helicopter. The aim of the 9 thousand 6 hundred crore rupees project is stop the import more than 4 lakh crore rupees worth of combat helicopter for the three services in coming years . Bharat Electronics Limited Adopts Artificial Intelligence Technology: Tracking System and Mini-Drones
Bharat Electronic Limited has developed a new command control system based on artificial intelligence which can track person of interests in public places such as airports and railway stations. I t can identify persons of interest through their body language and even gauge their emotional state by scanning their faces. BEL has also launched the micro drone which has been programmed to recognize particular pattern and it will independently follow the infantry soldiers to scan the landscape.
Indian Army and Air Force Oppose Rs. 1 Trillion INS Vishal
The Indian Military will have a capital budget of only 16.5 billion dollar for the next fiscal year due to which the Indian Air Force and Indian Army have opposed to commit a large chunk of money to single naval procurement. The Indian Air Force plans to buy 114 fighter jets under a staggered procurement plan while the army wants new artillery systems rifles and Apache helicopters and it would be rash to spend some 1 trillion rupees on a 65,000 tonne carrier while on the other hand naval planners are confident that they can afford the expense if the capital budget rises by its 10% annually.
Private Sector Firm Gets DRDO Tech: Electronics Grenades Trial
An Indian private sector company has acquired the technology of latest electronic multimodal hand grenades by the DRDO and the company has finished internal tests successfully and it might start user tests by the Indian Army very soon. The company has already taken part in another request for proposal by the Indian Army to manufacture them without using the electronic mechanism.

According to United States based Military forum china is projected to have a world’s largest navy in the next 15 years and it is also focusing on doubling the size of its submarines force and it is projected commission two nuclear newly submarines annually from 2021 to 2035. China has built and commissioned 131 blue water capable ship in a span of just 10 years and the number will increase to 270 by 2035. China is also building a large aircraft carrier in the range of 85,000 tons and has also launched a measured approach to introducing carrier aviation.
